Could Millenials Be Responsible for the Eradication of Poverty?

Millenials are known for their social consciousness. They are more likely to take a job which suits their ideas of right and wrong or which contributes to the betterment of society. They are more likely to buy products which feature a social consciousness. They generally treat work and money differently.

They are a catalytic part of a major shift in our culture where the bottom line is not the only line we expect our corporations to pay attention to. What does this mean for our corporate landscape? Which corporations will survive, and more importantly which will thrive? It is possible that our corporate landscape will be expending as much energy being productive monetarily as they are socially? Considering the pace at which corporations solve their monetary problems, could social problems be solved at the same rate?

Will this millenial attitude result in a world with no need? Could poverty be eradicated because of one generation's attitude?
